Summer reading for teens

where all horror movie clichés come trueWelcome to Cronenberg, where all horror movie clichés come true.

High school student April Fielding is given an assignment in Creative Writing class to write a horror screenplay. It’s set in her town, and the characters are her classmates and relatives. But every time she writes a murder scene, the real-life person winds up dead! Who will be next? Who is the real murderer? Is it the Red Terror, the screenplay’s “fictional” villain? Or is it one of April’s friends, or even April herself?

April should know, she wrote the story, but has she written the end yet? More importantly, if the killer is caught who will be in the sequel?

This fun summer read is a hit with teenagers. They’ll recognize bits of dialogue and story lines from movies they’ve seen, but this story isn’t predictable.

Get this novel for you or your teen from the Remembrance Day novel page, or ask Chapters or your local bookstore for it.
